These are images i took during my residency in Venice. As research for my lace piece i documented the build up of confetti on the streets during the period of the carnival.

I love the contrast in the city between these two opposing Facades,

one is temporary and cheap used to cover the old in preparation for the new.

The other is the old striped back only to the thickness of a brick panstacingly preserved to

cover the new with the desiriblity of the past.
